THE QUEEN – Jubilee Pageant

Tens of thousands of rain-soaked people have packed London to watch the Queen’s 1,000-boat Diamond Jubilee pageant weave its way along the River Thames.

Tugs, steamers, pleasure cruisers, dragon boats and kayaks set off with the Queen travelling at its heart.

The Queen, dressed in a white hat and a silver and white coat designed by Angela Kelly, was taken to her barge on the launch of the now-decommissioned Royal Yacht Britannia after being greeted by a spontaneous rendition of the national anthem from the crowds.

I was very lucky to have the perfect spot opposite the Pagoda of Battersea Park and being able to salute the Queen and members of the Royal Family while passing by on board of the Royal barge.

Wonderful day!
