ART Basel Hong Kong 2016

Last week Art Basel in Hong Kong wrapped its fourth edition boasting more than 70,000 visitors—the brand’s newest edition is starting to rival its sister fairs in Miami Beach and Basel, Switzerland, as a top global destination to see and be seen.

New York’s Marianne Boesky Gallery brought its top gun, 79-year-old superstar artist Frank Stella.
Goodman Gallery, one of South Africa’s most prominent art dealers with spaces in Johannesburg and Capetown, presented works by the internationally celebrated South African artist William Kentridge, whom is having a great show in Seoul Contemporary Art Museum at the same time.
A wonderful installation by LA based artist Pae White was also one of the highlights and last but not least the wonderful installation by Korean artist Kyungah Ham, whose pieces travel from South Korea through China to North Korea to be embroidered and sometimes goes missing.

Celebrities like Leo di Caprio and Paris Hilton were seen among the corridors and at KeeClub at night and an interesting pic by Jurgen Teller of Kim Kardashian were the cherry on top :).

I would have liked to discover more young contemporary artists from South East Asia, and Asia in general, that is what was missing in my point of view!

Keep on loving and following art!!!
