Maastricht – Tefaf 2013
Tefaf, the grande dame of art fairs opened last week with an exclusive preview ,which gathered professionals and worldwide jet-set.
The fair was showcasing as usual the best of the best, even though a lack of funiture in this edition… One of the exceptions was an outstanding piece at my dear friend Boris Vervoordt booth. A unique desk by Le Corbusier. Although Pierre Jeanneret was responsible for most of the furniture in the new town of Chandigarh, India — planned and designed by Le Corbusier after WW2 — new research shows that this architectural desk was conceived by the architect himself for the city’s High Court, where it remained until recently.
You still have a chance to go and visit an incredible source of knowledge and beauty.
